Wayne Shiong’s Bio
Wayne Shiong is a Partner at China Growth Capital, an early stage investor in internet media and consumer, education, financial and business services. Prior to joining, he was a Partner at Bertelsmann Asia Investments (BAI) where he led deals of iClick, Douban and domob etc. Prior to BAI, Wayne was a Partner with WI Harper Group, a cross border early stage investor in US, Mainland China and Taiwan where he led deals of Maxthon, New Dynamic Institute, 360Bao etc. Previously, Wayne was the China Consultant to Piper Jaffray’s equity research team, covering Chinese internet names. Prior to Piper Jaffray, he was a co-founder of Xel Ltd., a Bluetooth start-up funded by Mobile Internet (Asia). Wayne started his career as an analyst at Yungenghu & Company, a Beijing-based financial advisory firm serving A Share public companies. Wayne is a Beijing native and graduated from Peking University with a major in Economics.
